what is news?

 kavanah -

news  is  any new infomation or events that have or are hapening /heppend

a recent example of this is that the zendayea and tom holland are alleged to be engadged

i think that the broadsheet one is image led  as nothing about the writng is obvious and stands out to the reader - however i think that the tabliod one was the image lead one as the image imediently stands out

 Notes :
Broadsheet - broadsheets acting as quality press (in-depth, formal, political) - more casual
Tabloids- popular press (sensational, informal, human-interest) - more quality

tabliods - are targeted at lower income and social classes
broadsheets - more formal and mature  and more polittical - tartget upmarket audiences - also high quality newpapert audience

  • Timeliness/Urgency: Hard news is time-sensitive (breaking news), while soft news is less urgent
  • Topic/Subject: Hard news covers serious topics e.g., international affairs, economics Soft news covers lifestyle, celebritysa and gossip.
  • Tone/Style: Hard news is objective, concise, and facts . Soft news is often more emotive, narrative, and personality-centered.
Hard news - current news and storie that are hapenong - war ,crime , urgent - it will be fatual
soft new - human interst , more feel good - and most imporrtantly it is note as time sensitive -

tabloids play around with both hard and soft news - whereas broadshats are more hard news eg war
